NTPC has received Project Excellence Award 2023 for 25 MW Kawas floating solar project in Gujarat in an event titled “Project Managers Global Summit” organised by Project Management Associates (PMA) on 21st August, 2023. The award was received by Shri Dilip Kumar Dubey, CGM & Head of Project, Kawas from Padma Bhushan Dr V K Saraswat, Former Secretary, DRDO and Member, NITI Aayog.
PMA-India is an exclusive Member of IPMA, Netherlands, which is a federation of 72 Member Associations (MAs) in different countries. The MAs develop project management competences in their geographic areas of influence and have been advocating Competence Development to successfully perform all activities on Project Management mode.
Kawas Floating Solar Project is a part of NTPC’s 56 MW integrated solar project at Kawas, Gujarat which was commissioned on 15th Aug 2022. The floating solar component of this project is the third biggest one in the country. The top two projects in this category are of 92 MW Kayamkulam floating solar in Kerala and 100 MW Ramagundam floating solar in Telangana.
NTPC is poised to have 60 GW RE capacity by 2032 and aims to be a significant player in C&I and Energy Storage apart from Hydrogen technologies.
