Shri Shivam Srivastava, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Kamala Nehru Institute of Technology, Sultanpur (Avadh University), Post Graduate in Business Management from MDI Gurgaon, had joined NTPC as 13th batch executive trainee in 1988. He has also undergone a Leadership Management course from Harvard Business School, Boston (USA). In his professional career, he has accumulated over 34 years of experience with outstanding contribution in areas of Fuel Handling, Fuel management, Safety, plant operation & maintenance and in coal mining projects.
New Delhi, May 02, 2023: NTPC Ltd., India’s largest integrated power producer has registered a growth of 148% coal production from its captive mines as compared to production registered in April 2022. NTPC recorded 2.75 Million metric tonnes (MMT) of coal production during the month of April 2023 as compared to 1.11MMT recorded for the month of April 2022.
Under the aegis of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' (AKAM) to celebrate 75 years of independence, an out-reach meeting on MoU Dashboard was held on 28th April 2023 at Nainital, Uttarakhand. The program was organised by the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) Ministry of Finance, Government of India and NTPC as the industry partner of the event. Shri Pawan Kumar, Principal Adviser, DPE, Ministry of Finance, GoI chaired the conference.
NTPC REL, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, received Letter of Acceptance for 500 MW RE-RTC power from REMCL, a JV company of Ministry of Railways and RITES Ltd.
The won capacity in competitive bidding is a major share of total 900 MW RE-RTC on offer and PPA will be signed with REMCL for 25 years. Through a combination of solar and wind, this project would supply round-the-clock green energy and will add 1.8 GW to NTPC RE portfolio.
